The comprehensive cancer care center is located at 1325 East Church Street on the Marian Medical Center Campus. Designed as a Spanish-style building, the facility has three stories and encompasses over 44,000 square feet. The opening was accompanied by the newly constructed Marian Medical Center, making the location ideal for both patients and medical staff. for cancer carecancer care
Mission Hope Cancer Center frees patients from the burden of driving to many different locations for tests and treatments and aid in communication among doctors by centralizing all services in a single, three story building. Cancer services in the area – such as radiation, chemotherapy, surgery, and others – were fragmented, said Dr. Dichmann. "Patients and their families frequently had to travel to several different locations in order to receive treatment. Frequent travel can be incredibly difficult both physically and mentally for patients, as well as a financial challenge for families," added Dr. Dichmann. in the region. At Mission Hope, Medical Oncologists Dr.'s Dichmann, Kennedy and Erickson will continue their affiliation with UCLA through the Jonsson Cancer Center. The current cancer program at Marian Medical Center is accredited as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer. The program recently received eight commendations. This accreditation will continue and be strengthened as the Mission Hope Cancer Center. with Marian Medical Center.
