Celebrating Five Years of Hope

Eve of Hope: April 10th, 5 - 7 pm
Mission Hope Cancer Center would like to take this opportunity to formally thank the donors for their support by inviting them to a reception in their honor. This donor reception will feature local wines and hors d’oeuvres to be enjoyed by attendees. In the spirit of giving, The Hitching Post’s Hartley Ostini Wines and local favorite, Chef Rick, have graciously donated to make this event enjoyable for donors.

Donors will have the opportunity to make final bids on the Wave of Hope auction items. All 29 pieces of Chris Burkard photography will be present at the Eve of Hope and attendees will have the opportunity to out-bid any online auction winners at the final silent auction.

You can join this celebration by donating $500 or more before April 1st, 2017. Donate now.

Survivorship Celebration & Patient Education, April 11th, 12 pm - 5 pm
Community members, patients, and cancer survivors are encouraged to enjoy the inspirational speech and music of singer, songwriter, and cancer survivor, Charlie Lustman. Charlie Lustman will be giving a motivational talk and performance at the top of each hour from 12 pm – 5 pm.

Charlie LustmanAfter recovering from a one-in-400-million diagnosed Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in his upper jaw in 2007, Charlie wrote and produced a collection of songs entitled Made Me Nuclear, Charlie’s one-man pop opera chronicling his cancer journey. Since releasing Made Me Nuclear—The Soundtrack in 2008, Charlie has relentlessly toured with his musical message of hope in theatres, cancer centers, health conferences and survivorship events across America in what he now calls the Musical Hope Campaign! With his brightly painted custom “love guitar” and prosthetic replacement jaw, Charlie brings inspiration, motivation, education and hope to millions of people worldwide with original songs that carry an empathetic lyric and melodies that have transformed the lives of those who have experienced his unique and powerful message. Visit Charlie Lustman’s website.

Along with Charlie Lustman’s performances, doctors of Mission Hope Cancer Center will be giving educational presentations to inform patients, survivors and community members.
